I've made a DOX background with iced spruce and water on a glass plate and applied the paper, dried with hot gun, and stamped the butterflies and leaves with bleach, colored with pencils and posca, added some bleach splatters with a paint brus and stamped the Belle Demoiselle (it means beautiful girl but it's also a butterfly's name)

I think stamping with bleach on a sponged background certainly counts. I've found it a far more reliable way of getting any bleached look than stamping on coloured cardstock. And I really like your soft vintage look.
