We at cutting up at the teaparty this week and stamping with Bubble Wrap with the Technique Lovers.
I had a lovely giant paper that my Grandson, Lewis, painted for me at church a few months ago. He had my tape it up in my craft room but it feel down (washi tape can only hold so much and for so long). After it fell, he said, "Nan, you can use it on a card." So I have. I tore some of it and used in on my BAJ page and I cut some of it in strips and used it on the card. The colors of the tempura paint are so pretty - that boy is going to be an artist for sure.
I also stenciled around both creations a bit with my chicken wire stencil, used some bubble wrap to stamp a bit, and added some gold micro beads.
The bees were fussy cut and the butterfly was gray and is now green with the help of some Dylusions spray.
The card is off in the mail to Katherine. I let her know Lewis (age 4) made the base. That should make her smile.
The BAJ page is Psalms 56 - a Call for God's Protection. We all need this and Katherine needs it especially. So many great words of comfort in Psalms, I am going to be sad when I am done. I am in the 100s now (I covered up one I did previously in Psalms 56 with Lewis' paper because I didn't like it - lol).

Oh Nancy, this is so beautiful. Yes he is an artist. My granddaughters received a fresh set of watercolors from another grandma about a month ago and the pans are empty. I'm going to send more. Favd this card.

I love the way you have been coordinating BAJ with similar cards! Lewis gave you a super start on your card with the great colors in his art project. They make a fabulous soft setting for that butterfly and the extra bits of stenciling and bubble wrap stamping adds even more interest and depth.

Those strips and soft candy colours look super. The butterfly looks fab after its green shower. The microbead circles on your journal page look amazing.

Lewis is definitely an artist! I love your page and that beautiful card for Katherine! I'm sure she will enjoy hearing that a 4 year old participated in making her card!

Your page is now gorgeous with the help of Lewis' painting. Your card is really nice with all the strips of different colors and some of the patterns you added. I'm sure the butterfly feels much more alive in his green skin!

This is stunning -- but I think it's cheating when you have an artist create such a gorgeous background for you. LOL. I love the colors he chose. You BAJ pages are always beautiful and this is no exception. I love how you mirror the feel and overall look of them with your cards. This is a fabulous card.

Oh my goodness, this is just terrific Nancy! I love how you used your grandson's artwork to make your BAJ page and this card. I also love how you added your own artwork to your grandson's artwork- how fun! And what a great keepsake and memory this is. This is such a special card filled with love to send to Katherine. ~Karen.
