Card for Lisa's (Shoe Girl) Teapot challenge, Cutting Up, to use scissors on our cards--either images, or by cutting something with scissors. I stamped and colored the cacti on Very Vanilla CS, then fussy-cut them, with scissors!
The background was a leftover after stencilling the Rays for another project. I spritzed the stencil with water & slapped it down onto this piece of water-color paper to create a "reverse" print, & stuck it in my stash. For this card I added a bit of 'ground' to it with colored pencils. Layered the watercolor paper onto the rust CS, then added a couple layers of the 110# CS to pop it up a bit on the card front, on top of the polka dot layer. Popped up the cacti & sentiment with dimensional tape, & added the enamel dots.
I'm hoping this card will bring a little bit of sunshine to the recipient of this week's Teaparty.

Liz, your cards are so much fun and filled with joy! This charming card made me smile really big when I saw all these wonderful cacti with the sun days behind them. You did a terrific job fussy cutting all these cacti, and you did a great job on this reverse print. I know Katherine is going to love this wonderful card full of sunshine you made just for her. ~Karen.

This is a bright cheery card and it oozes sunshine. Love the colors you choose and the three enamel dots in the upper corner are perfect. Your rays and ground are perfect anchors for these adorable cacti images. So cute.

This card just bursts our with sunshine behind the Cacti. I love how you added the ground to the card and the addition of the enamel dots at the top and on the sentiment.
