I took the phrase "Cutting a Rug" literally in this card to cheer Katherine. I started with the scissors, using silver distress stain first and then stamping in black. I used Inktense Pencils to color the rug. Coloring the flowers first and letting dry, the wash of yellow didn't blur or mess up the flower colors. Fussy cut all the images. Found the alcohol BG in my stash, stamped the music in grey, then found and added the sentiment. The scissor tip isn't glued down for extra dimension. I love visually playing on words.

This is just cool, Lori - The literal interpretation of "cutting a rug" puts a Big smile on my face and the alcohol ink bg adds a fresh and airy hit of color behind the stamped score. Can't believe you even had a square dancer stamp in your arsenal (nothing should surprise me any more . . .but it did!) I've been a Square dancer for over 20 years . . and never thought of getting a stamp for that hobby . . .

I FAV'd this immediately. oh, what a wonderful card for such a difficult time. And you've got a silhouette stamp of a Country Western couple! Just look at that ruffled outline.
Great dimension with the sheet music 'wall' and the rug that's in the process of being cut. Fantastic take on TP challenge this week. Love it, neighbor!!!

Oh wow Lori, this is so fun and so creative it made me chuckle out loud it did. I love how you show this couple cutting up a rug dancing and what a great idea to use a scissors to showcase that idea even more- so fun! I know Katherine is really going to love this super creative card you made just for her Lori. ~Karen.
