One more for today's IC. If there is a type of quilt fabric that I really like, it's all the batiks. I think batik is fascinating and if I was into fabric stuff, I would try to learn how to do it. Here is the page with the batiks: https://www.laundrybasketquilts.com/...olor-c25943412
I had just tried a new technique to me. Swipe two different color DOx ink pads directly onto the gel plate, brayer to soften and blend the colors slightly, put a stamp on the plate and press lightly. Remove the stamp and print with printer paper. I love the soft results and thought it looked somewhat like batik. I cut some strips from my three prints, used a couple of Lori's paste paper (!) strips to divide it and finished with a quote from John Lennon. I was going to use this for another card but never did.

Just genius! I love the music font quote. The scraps of ‘batik’ are perfect. I love how the eye has to slow down to read ‘it’. You won’t get must batik when you visit, but you know we are the tie dye capital of the universe. Even TP!
Thanks for linking the batiks, I’d so have this one

Wow! Such a cool technique! I have to try this! I love your mix of patterns and colors. Gorgeous card and such a sweet sentiment. It's so hard to do good deeds without telling anyone. A wonderful reminder. Thank you!

Your card jumped out at me from the thumbnail, before I knew it was you and then front and center is an old paper friend (s). And John Lennon???? I saw the Beatles 3 times in SF. They were my world! Do I need to say fav'd? Thanks for the pale gel print tip, and for your artful prowess.
