I struggled with this challenge. It took me all day to figure out how I wanted to showcase my stripes so I did a technique where you layer your stripes on a piece of paper then use a die to cut out an image, in this case I used SU stitched layering squares.
The pinewood planks was used to emboss my card after I adhered my pool party stripe and a close shade topretty peacock on my card, I then embossed the whole front of the card to get the affect you see.
The flower is EK Sucess' retro flower punch in Whisper white, the center of the flower was created with punch bunch punches, mini cherry blossom in SU calypso coral, and the stamen in black the stamen. Star dust stickles was use for the very center of the flower.

Fantastic job with this lovely card. How you alternated the stripes on your layering squares looks terrific! Congrats on being Chris' pick for the Color Challenge this week!

How did I miss this? It's beautiful and deserves to be the favorite! I love how you did what you did ... a very cool process with the ef and the striped squares. This is also a fav of mine.
