I opened the "Spring Violets" image in Photoshop, & sized it to the panel measurements in the sketch. I also opened the yellow gingham "paper" from the same digi set, and clipped it to the violet image, mainly over the pot. I used the eraser tool in Photoshop to remove the gingham where it overlapped the flowers & leaves. To regain the outline of the pot, I added a copy of the flower/pot image in another layer, and super-imposed the pot outline part over the gingham. I added a greeting from "Asian Garden" digi set onto the pot. Finally, I printed the image onto a piece of vellum bristol paper.
I colored the flowers & leaves with my Prismacolor pencils. I added the panel to a piece of text paper. The text is the "rain rain go away" bit, which I thought was good for a sympathy- or comfort-type card. I matted that with yellow, added my lavender strips, & added a brad through the upper strip. Finally, I adhered the card front to a white card base.
