Chris is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to use Rococo Rose, Pretty Peacock and Pool Party for our cards. The dessert option is "stripes," but alas! I was not able to work them into this design.
I treated myself to a set of Polychromos colored pencils for my birthday this year, and this card is the result of my first attempt. I tried to combine dark and light shades of that blue-green that makes up Pool Party and Pretty Peacock to create my "imaginative" blue leaves! Artistic license, right?
I'm not sure about this gray-toned paper. Someone on a YouTube video recommended it for colored pencils, but it doesn't have much "tooth." I did start out on each flower and leaf by coloring with white pencil, then added the colors on top, hoping they wouldn't be too gray. I think that part worked out OK.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

This is so beautiful Barbara! The colors and shading look fabulous, plus the peacock cardstock frame really works to highlight your main image! Love this so much!

Love your card! I use pencils, also, so was interested to see your pretty flowers and colors. They look great! It was so smart to start with white pencil first. Great going!!!
