I used my homemade matte medium on this one and as you can see, the stencil didn't stay white, even with using a baby wipe on what should have been white. It did lighten it somewhat and the darkest color worked best. In person or if you enlarge the photo, you can see the whole stencil and I thought it was still pretty enough to proceed with a card.

Yes home made is never totally matte if not you need to add chemical stuff, but as you said this is still a pretty result and I love the dove and feathers and sentiment!!

Although it's not the end result you were looking for/expecting, it's AWESOME! It makes the bird seem almost like a dream or something subtle like that, which pairs well with the sentiment, I'm thinking. Pretty card...

The bird swooping across the page is lovely. I'm sure that in real life the resist is clear - even on screen, it's beautiful. And what wonderful feathers.

I've come and visited this card several times before I could comment. I love the symbolism. I love the simplicity. I actually thought the stenciled bird was intended to be a fade. I love the feathers portray different patterns (growth). I love the scale of all your elements. I love this card...I know you grew some more wings creating this....fav'd, of course!
