For MariLynn's Plans MIXed media challenge. I thought about creating my own blue background, but I reckoned it would bleed into my white pen unless I sealed it. White pens are troublesome enough at the best of times, so I just stamped my image and sentiment on some DP, stamping three times for as crisp an image as I could. Added the required lines and words, matted onto black.
I tried a couple of backgrounds from my stash. Then I decided to try the Liquid Metals, which I got at Christmas and haven't had time to play with since. I'll give them another chance, but I was a bit underwhelmed. They do give some nice shimmer, but in fact it seemed to show up more when I used bubble-wrap and a couple of DOX inks to stamp over the background. To make it more interesting I embossed it with a Crafter's Companion 3D ef, and rubbed white ink over the embossing.
Edged it with Versamark and white EP, then added some lime green Stickles.
To fill in the blanks, I pulled out some old Primas. I was going to die-cut some flowers from scratch, then I thought it would be good to dig into these. The assorted leaves were all from the tin on my desk - the ones in the bottom corner were left over from my WTUI card last week, when I didn't use them with the poppies. I had a little Vintage Vogue flower also in that tin, so I added that to the sentiment as it was close enough in colour.
