Nice sketch today. I wanted to make a happy hello card using this digi set that I just purchased from Polka Dot Orchard. I printed, cut, and colored the mug and split the sentiment apart to have it above and below the mug. I went digging through my scraps drawer looking for rainbow papers that would coordinate and ended up with these rainbow pastels. I colored the mug with soft colors to coordinate with the papers. But then when I put the DP on a white card (wish I picked a color) and then put the white panel on top with the light blue mug, my card was too washed out and very boring. So I colored over the light blue with a bolder green. That worked. Then I added faux stitching with black gel pen to make the DP stand out more. Drew a border around the sentiment panel for some added interest and still was bored. So I colored the rainbow with Wink of Stella and put Stickles on the clouds. One last thing--I colored the hearts, polka dots, and plaid design on the DP with Wink of Stella. Now this is a lovely shimmery and pretty fun card.

Such a cheery image and greeting today. Are you loving the sunshine, for a change? It's not going to last, I hear. Hugs to you and yours.
