This is for the Teapotter Challenge - Covered. Sue challenged us to be inspired by the cover of book that we read recently. I was inspired by the best selling book Educated - a memoir by Tara Westover. The cover shows the Tara standing on Buckâs Peak by her childhood home in Idaho. The mountain on the cover of the book changes into the tip of a pencil as a symbol of of the authorâs finally becoming highly educated after not being schooled the first seventeen years of her life. Fascinating book!
I substituted a single tree for the girl on the cover since it was the only thing I had. All the colors are the same as on the book cover.

Oh, that does sound like an interesting book. I am enjoying reading about what everyone else is reading, and adding some to my wish list. My mother used to volunteer teaching illiterate adults - it's such a limiting thing. Great take on the book cover, I really like the ray of light shining down on the tree. It's a super CAS design.

When I saw your card, I felt SURE I knew that you were reading "Trail of the Lonesome Pine!" - Boy was I wrong . . lol But I do like that red clay mountain with the fiery sky.

Now this book is already on my 'to read' list, comes recommended. Your card, inspired by the cover of the book, is beautiful, Jane - I love the fabulous sponging and that lone tree on the top of the mountain! Wonderful card and thanks for playing~

That triangle shaped tree was the perfect choice for your card because it looks just like the tip of the pencil on the cover of the book! Awesome card!
