This card is for the third challenge in the VSN Florapalooza challenge hosted by Lisa.
Lisa asked us to include a flower pot in our card. Here in Australia flower pots are what we plant flowers in to grow and I always think of terracotta pots when flower pots are mentioned.
At first I thought of doing the flowerpot fold and using another of my Power Poppy purchases for the challenge but was pretty sure it wolf take me more than the hour allocated to do it.
Instead I went with this very simple but absolutely delightful image to do.
I have quite a few Margaret Sherry / Penny Black images and two would have fitted the bill.
Mo Manning also has a gorgeous one featuring a flower pot......just saying.
So first up I stamped the image, then I masked the image.
That done I masked off the sky with my masking tape and did the grass by sponging old Olive then going around the edges with garden green...for depth.
Next I moved the tape down and started on the sky. I will have to admit I went into some kind of trance and ended up with far more cloud than I had intended. lol.
I removed the masking off the image then coloured that and then stamped the greeting put it onto the base, put some ink of Stella onto the bee wings and that's it.
I decided to keep it simple and it is going to be the Easter card for my granddaughter, her husband and our great granddaughters. It will be the first time they wont be spending Easter with us. All very sad.
Thank you for looking, stay safe.
Cheers Marg
