This card came to be through inspiration from four different challenges this week:
Time Out Challenge #158 (http://timeoutchallenges.blogspot.co...lenge-158.html) asked that we make a card that used the color purple in recognition of March 26th being Epilepsy Awareness Day - I included purple cardstock, purple pattern paper, and purple butterflies!
Cut It UP # 196 (http://cutitupchallenges.blogspot.co...ever-with.html) theme of "Spring Fever" required that your card have three butterflies on it - I digitally cut three purple butterflies from SU "Botanical Butterflies" designer series paper. I also used dies to cut out the sentiment and its mat.
When you have beautiful pattern butterfly paper you just HAVE to cut some out for cards! I used my Brother ScanNCut CM350 to scan and cut purple Lepidoptera. The sentiment is from SU "Beautiful You". I die cut it with SU "Stitched Nested Labels" dies. Because both the die used for the what sentiment and the larger die use for the mat were too tall, I first cut the white piece with the sentiment (stamped in SU Elegant Eggplant) at the top of the die, then aligned the die-cut piece at the bottom of the die and cut a second time for a shorter piece.
I am rating this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" since the paper stack is so well coordinated, and the dies and ScanNCut make cutting the shapes you needs so easy. I have a friend who I think would REALLY enjoy this card!
