Polly has given us some lovely fabrics for inspiration for her VSN Challenge. Of course I chose the one with the orange flowers! I grabbed the SU Peaceful Petals set and stamped the orange flower using my WeR Precision Press. Then I rotated the platform 180 degrees and stamped the gray flower. Oops! I forgot to clean the stamp in between the orange and gray stamping but I really like the orange that is mixed into the middle of that gray flower. Then I masked the original two flowers and stamped two more flowers in Abandoned Coral by simply rotating my stamping platform. I didn't like the emptiness on the right side, so I stamped an extra gray flower. Finished up with some masking and stamping the leaves again by rotating the stamp platform all around. Once I was finished stamping, I quickly colored the flowers and I love my recreation of that fabulous fabric! I certainly did not want to cover it up, so I just die cut this "happy" die twice from black paper that I had run through the Xyron and layered. And then embossed "Birthday" onto some black paper. This was really fun! Thanks for a great challenge, Polly!
