TLC787 = "Burn the Milk" See Anita's instructions here.
My experiment with this milk technique didn't work out as well as Anita's. I did use whole milk which I don't usually have on hand since I've been using almond milk for years, but had the whole for a recipe that needed the real deal. I couldn't get the milk to "burn" that well and finally just pressed the whole milk-saturated paper toweling directly onto the paper and then ironed with a HOT iron(which I later needed to scour). That's the bg. Since I stamped the bird image directly onto the bg(another mistake), the surface was now slick from the milk layer and the Copics slid around. When I was done, I heat set the whole thing before adding the small details. Totally a CHALLENGE!! : )

I can see the burned milk and what a fabulous coloring on your image, normally you stamp your image pressing the stamp on the paper towel then you heat set it with your iron keep your iron on the paper it takes a bit of time to get a darker color, but anyway, your card is very pretty!!

But what a fun card you ended up with, Sallie. The background is great for your bird. I think it took me at least four goes (I know I put four pieces in the bin this morning, and I'd probably stamped on both sides of each one) before I stated getting usable results when I turned the heat up.
