After embossing in gold, I used my Altenew watercolors to create the delicate color for the background and the flower. This is the kind that grows in my yard. I can hardly wait for spring flowers! I popped up the hydrangea using foam tape. The sentiment from the Hero Arts Stamptember set is stamped in Morning Mist VersaFine Clair ink. I added some of my favorite Krenik thread and a few stacked sequins to finish the card.

Beautiful card from your inspiration. The blue and purples on your hydrangea have a soft sheer look about them and your DP is a perfect match. The gold embossing adds a bit of elegance, too.

Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers. Unfortunately where we live in Australia they don’t grow well, but in the UK when I was younger we used to have them in our garden. Beautiful card. TFS. Happy day

I really like what inspired you, Judy, but your card is so much prettier in the softer shades. Nice layout!

I have a pretty hydrangea as my laptop screen. I love the pretty soft layout too for this gorgeous hydrangea.
