Yesterday, I wrapped a gift from an old vintage paper tablecloth and decided to experiment. I accordion- folded the leftover paper and randomly squirted eye droppers full of assorted watercolor concentrate onto and into it, adding water here and there for a good bleed. While it was wet, I laid it onto photo papers and made about 20 wildly colored and interesting BG papers. None of those are here, but I'm sure they'll show up soon. THIS is a a very small, torn up portion of the glorious leftover dyed and ironed tablecloth. I wet a brush to draw some shapes and they tore the way I wanted them to. The wet brush also affected the colors. I had an iron close by for quick drying. What FUN this was on all levels. I especially like recycling! I drew a line around the sentiment stamp on a small label, positioned it onto the MISTI so I was able to add assorted colors on the letters quite easily. Gave them a finish coat of Versamark and EP. I made a bunch of these sentiment shapes and cut them out via the Scan N Cut and have been going to town making more of these too, in different colors. I rarely mass produce anything, but these inspirational words have never meant so much as they do now.

Fabulous colors, torn edges and technique! Your experiment was highly successful...can't wait to see more projects with your tablecloth leftovers! I especially love the way the colors on the sentiment match!

Neat! I really love the color in your sentiment! I love that sentiment and your fabulous torn background piece which kind of reminds me of that paper that you get with the wildflower seeds in it that you are supposed to tear up and spread out.

Love all the colors you incorporated into your art....even the sentiment. The torn paper bg of your sentiment panel has the look of an autumn sugar maple leaf to me. A stunning and ARTISTIC card.

Look forward to seeing the prints you made. This is the sort of thing I love, it reminds me of the pieces from my spray box which I often save and use. Great work on the multicoloured sentiment to match.
