I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. Susie is our hostess this week and she has a wonderful challenge for us called, "Frame it!" Twist my arm because I love to make frames! This week we are sending cards to Joann who is dealing with a difficult health situation.
To make this card, I die cut an A2-sized panel using a stitched rectangle die. Then I used 2 smaller rectangle dies to make the frame. I placed the frame on top of the A2 panel so I had an idea where to do the stamping. I focused the stamping on two opposite corners. Then I stamped some extra flowers and leaves and die cut them out. Added foam tape to the back of the frame and placed this onto the A2 card panel. Stamped the sentiment, then placed the die cut elements onto the frame. I was not paying attention when I placed the one leaf because it overlaps part of the sentiment. That is what 27 years of stamping does for me (sigh). Then adhered the entire A2 panel to an A2 card base.
Susie, thank you for this wonderful challenge today and thanks for looking. ~Karen.

I always love this type of framing. It reminds me of way way back when I visited a friend in London, and her architect husband had an empty frame on the wall with an ivy growing up to it and twined around it. The colours are beautiful - a treat for me on a grey, rainy day and a treat for Joann too, I am quite sure.

I love your framing...and the colorful blooms on this are so pretty. This will certainly cheer Joann. I'm glad it didn't take much arm twisting to make that frame ....you're so funny.

Karen every inch off this is fabulous - great frame!. I love how you placed the flowers, I thought you did it on purpose as the actual word is obvious and the overlaid flowers make it look balanced....see mate that's what 27 years of stamping does...your brain KNEW what it was doing. Joann will love this for sure, thanks so much for bringing such a special treat to the teaparty.
