This card is for several challenges....the Alpha challenge O = Oval, the Ways to Use it Challenge (curves) and the Mix challenge to grab 2 or more MM stash and do something with them.
Last week was a sad week and which inspired me to make this. A friend lost her long battle and after her funeral I thought of the celebration of her life and how much sadness there was. So many tears, including my own.
It also was a week where the bottom of our world as we know it fell out more and tipped off its axis. More sadness and tears.
I had been creating lots of MM last week and I knew that I wanted to make some panels. One depicting the sadness in our eyes and from our tears the butterflies that turned into something wonderful and that gave us hope. So this is my take on that.
I love butterflies and grabbed my stencil and sponged the butterflies and I wanted them to depict happier times from the dark tears. I was going to add letters but grabbed my ticket and stapled it onto the butterflies as best I could. I love stapling after getting inspiration from Susan (One4Joy)....thank you Susan and I hope you don't mind me stealing your idea.
More sponging around the edges at the top and done. It came together quickly and it was exactly what my mind needed to make right now.
Keep well and safe everyone. We will all get through this madness together.
TFL. Happy day

I LOVE the patterns on your oval, Jayne. I would love to know how you achieved them. So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend - that is sad. There were lots of tears at Uncle George's funeral. The preacher said that funerals seem to have less tears these days and he was actually glad to see them. Isn't that sad in itself? Anyway, I love where your mind and creativity went on this lovely card. Hugz

Jayne, so sorry for the loss of your friend. Both of your cards are certainly great ways to express your feelings through art! I love the butterflies and birds soaring up towards your oval panels! The little tickets are such a perfect addition to both cards. Beautiful! Hugs dear girl!

Oh Jayne, this is a wonderful tribute to your dear friend. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. There is great sadness in the world right now and you have found a very beautiful and creative way to not only show that sadness, but to remind us all there is still hope. This card (and you) are a beautiful light shining for all of us to remember there really is hope. Thank you for sharing this with us! ~Karen.

So sorry for your loss, Jayne. I'm glad you were able to get some paper therapy and create this lovely card. Your gelli print is fantastic, so much excellent texture there. I like where you went with butterflies and hope. Hugs!
