Karen gave us some lovely colors this week but they were a little bit tough for me. I ultimately decided I wanted this boat scene with the blue sky and sea foam water. I squeezed the purples into the frog's shirt and the beaver's hat. I started by stamping and masking the image. Then I drew in the water line and stamped the cat tails across the bottom. I masked the boat and critters and sponged sky and water. Then I drew in a wake and ripples. I wanted the whole panel edged in black but I still didn't have any polka dots for dessert. So I got out these grunge polka dots and stamped an edge up top. This made the scene feel more like a memory to me. This card sure was fun to make!

I Adore the way you added the polka dots, Jen, how fun! The frog and beaver look like they are creating fun memories out in the boat. Such a cute scene~

Those critters are sure having fun, Jen! Love the scene you created, especially that you drew some of it yourself (totally beyond my capabilities!). Kudos for getting in those polka dots!

Oh my gosh, Jen, what a fun scene with the two buds hangin' in the boat just singing and having a great time on the river. Your masking and coloring is exceptional! I adore this scene and the wonderful creativity you brought to the color challenge this week!
