The Avery Elle magnolia stamps and dies were gifted to me in February so I made this card as a thank you card. I also made this card for the letter P Alphabet Challenge (P is for pink).
I used 2 rectangle dies to create the frame for this card. Then I marked with a pencil where the frame would go on the card base, and masked the outer areas off with large postit notes so I could sponge blue ink inside the frame area. I started with Tumbled Glass ink, then intensified it with Salty Ocean distress ink.
Stamped the magnolia images, colored them with copic markers and die cut them with matching dies. Adhered the frame to the card base with foam tape, then arranged the magnolia pieces so the were tucked under and extended over the frame. Stamped the sentiment from the magnolia stamp set with black ink. I am not one who sponges on cards unless I use a stencil so I was quite pleased with how this turned out.
I am also adding this card to the March 20 VSNMINI2 challenge to make a card with a large bloom. Fun!
Thank you for the great challenges and thanks for looking today! ~Karen.

Pretty flower! The pink is beautiful. Love the sponged blue background and how it blends out. The frame is excellent and I like how you arranged parts of the petals and leaf extending on it. Karen, this is just gorgeous! Love it!
