I made this card for the letter U Alphabet Challenge. The U in this card is for the Ultramarine Blue Prisma Colored Pencil I used to color in some of the flowers.
I took the stitched detail die that pierces an image into the cardstock and ran this through the die cutting machine one time on a piece of rectangle cardstock. Then ran it through again facing the opposite direction. I took a white Prisma colored pencil and colored in the flower and leaf images. Then took various Prisma colored pencils and colored in the images over the white colored pencil. Doing this allows the colors to show more true to color on colored cardstock. Once done, I fussy cut around the stitched details to create a fun panel.
Stamped the hardwood stamp onto the cardbase using bashful blue ink for a light tone-on-tone effect. Layer the flower image on top using foam tape. Die cut the stitched sentiment label and stamped sentiment on top using CP Suede Shoes ink. When I was done making this card, it reminded me so much of the Nordic artwork I see in various shops in MN and Iowa so that was a fun surprise.
Thank you Ann for a great challenge and thanks for looking! ~Karen.
