VSN Mini - Just add water hosted by Kim. Use the Tissue Paper Watercolor tutorial
This was a new-to-me technique. I did not have success with it at first. The ink would absorb into the tissue in one glob, but not spread at all; it was big blotches of color and did not look nice. I thought maybe the tissue paper had a light coating on it or something. I got a different kind of tissue paper from my gift wrapping supplies. It has tiny gold flecks in it and it gave much better results. After it dried, I glued it to thin cardstock and die-cut a panel. On top, I secured a die-cut flourish from metallic finish cardstock. I did not think of this beforehand, but the gold flecks look so pretty! What sparkle! I think I will save all this kind of tissue I have for this technique. No sentiment until I use it. I punched small flowers from the left over pieces after die-cutting and glued some on a white panel for the inside.
Fun challenge to try something new. Thanks Kim! Thanks to you for looking!
