Hello and TFL,
This adorable fox is a digi stamp from Whimsy stamp company, it was a FREEBIE! i went there to purchase the 'love for Australia' stamp set so proceeds would go to the 'cause' and then I saw the Freebie tab and went there and was able to download this for free. this is my first ever download of images and I am probably not the right customer as I do lots of watercoloring and my printer ink is not water resistant and bleeds out. so, being super careful not to get on the lines unless my aquapainter was very dry, when I was close to the edges.
the point of posting this was to point out the little 'eyelash' strokes to make look like fur, resulting from pressing down the aqua painter to dry out nearly all water. it leaves the bristles spread apart and very dry. I used an acrylic block and daubed a little rose red, tangerine tango, and tangelo twist then swirled together with the aqua painter. after all that was applied and DRY.. I daubed choc chip on an acrylic block and used my 'eyelash' technique of pressing down the aqua painter on a piece of scratch paper till almost dry, then the bristles are spread apart and you can drag lightly thru the ink on the block and flick across the paper to make simulated FUR strokes.
I made the paper look like chalkboard by taking S U basic black paper and a very dried out white ink pad (mermaid tail container, don't remember designer name) and then just rubbing the ink pad right across the black paper. it was very dry pad but still made nice marks and dried with a good chalky effect.
Fussy cut out fox.
thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed
Teresa

Oh my goodness, if all foxes looked as adorable as this, they wouldn't ….ohh this sentence is never going to end well. I digress, your card is as terrific Teresa. Thanks for all the details too.
