I found a piece of pattern paper that reminded me of the stripe pattern, cut a strip and attached to white panel, which I then embossed with a diamond pattern embossing folder and mounted with foam tape on a white card.
I inked the sun from SU Celestial Skies set (copyright 1995! This might be my very first SU purchase...) in mustard seed and edged with persimmon, then stamped on a piece of vanilla card stock and cut out with an xacto knife. Then I used a swirl die to cut out the center. I cut the swirl two more times from scrap card stock and glued in a stack topped with the piece cut from the stamped image (Jennifer McGuire makes this looks so easy!). I took a square of turquoise cardstock and brushed the edges with persimmon distress ink, then glued the sun to it and glued the swirl die cut in the center.
I like how this turned out, giving me a beach feel on a chill March night!
