This card is my first attempt using my new Therm-o-Web Foil Quill with my Brother digital cutting machine. I wanted the anchor to look silvery, but didn't want the whole thing to be silver. For my first project, I'm pretty pleased. With practice, I'll be more daring.
The card base is Stampin' Up! (SU) Night of Navy cardstock. The pattern papers are from the SU "Come Sale Away" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used the SU "Banners" die set to cut the banners from the dark blue and white cardstock. The stripes are from the same DSP set.
The anchor is from a Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file I downloaded free from craftables.com . I loaded it into Brother's CanvasWorkspace software and converted many of the lines and areas into draw format so I could foil those areas using my Foil Quilll tool, then cut it out from the same file.
The sentiment is from the retired SU "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set, then die-cut using their "Stitched Nested Labels" dies. I die-cut 3 sets of these label shapes, and stacked then glued them together for added dimension.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5", if you just stamp the anchor, or die cut it out. Since it was a way for me to learn how to use my new Foil Quill tool, the rating is much higher "in real life".
