It is hard for me to fathom, but my oldest turns 30 next month. I made a piece for my granddaughter the other day making the flowers out of bits and bobs of yarn leftover from the wall hangings I have been weaving. I wanted to make a card with them and pictured a way more CAS setting, but I was drawn to this pretty picnic setting . I went with burlap and denim for the bg. When I went to the actual site from the pin there were some patterned blue pillows and I had a scrap of the Shibori style gel print to add along the side. I just roll the yarn piece in a spiral and add tacky glue to the back. I cut an oval to glue onto. Last step was to cut the numbers.

I'm truly in awe of your yarn flowers....just beautiful. You obviously have MANY talents. This is a gorgeous and very special birthday card for your oldest child.
