This card too used a lot of scraps. The lace-edged card base was originally destined for last Friday's MIX challenge, but the scale wasn't working out. When I was creating my rainbow for last week's MMTPT card, I had some extra Brushos left from creating my rainbow, so rather than waste them, I sprinkled them over the background stamp I had been using, and randomly stamped over the card base with it.
The narrow strips are that beautiful brushed silver card from Rangers with alcohol inks, this was the offcut from my Birthday Busker, and though I don't normally keep such small scraps, I knew I could use them. The leaves are cut from a scrap of cling wrap background and the flowers from an old TLC background. They have microbeads in the centres.
The butterfly was another scrap of DOX inks on glossy photo paper, I used a large Sizzix butterfly, and tore each wing, then taped it back up with narrow red-liner tape and sprinkled gold glitter over, burnishing it in. I stamped with a script stamp to add a bit more detailing into the wings, then I edged the butterfly with a black Sharpie, and added a bit of detail to his body. Ah, now I know why DH was sporting some glitter on his forehead last night!!!

I bet Ciaran looked simply awesome! It is stunning how you took all those diverse pieces and made them work so beautifully. I often save skinny pieces like that, I put them inside a card as an accent. Favd.

Oh check out that stunning lace border and the butterfly is super stunning too. I love when we save our scraps and make cards with them, many times I think those make better cards than cards that I work hard at putting together to get the scraps.

So many great cards to be seen in the gallery and this is a neat one---love the lace---so much went into the making of your card and so so very nice to have scraps to go thru when making cards---neat card.
