Sketch in my quote art journal. I was really struck by this Mr. Rogers quote during the Tom Hanks movie about him. It reminded me a lot of the book Being Mortal by Atul Gwande which came up in a thread on the fb book group I am in. It was a book that gave my parents the ability to have conversations together, with her medical team and with us, her children during the end of her metastatic breast cancer. That was why this resonated so much as Mr Rogers encourages a family in the movie to have those conversations.
I have been wanting to do a Mr Rogers piece for a while so I had already printed a reference photo. I used pencil, watercolor pencils and a blender pen. My quote is on a kids practice printing paper attached with music Washi.
