This is another page in my 6x8 album on a visit to the UK in 2017.
This page is the start of our family visiting Ashover in Derbyshire. My nephew had been asked to turn on the village Xmas lights. It was a crisp evening and very festive. Everyone in the village had turned out, most being in the local pub lol.
I'd forgotten how beautiful the villages are with their stone houses and the church sitting in the middle of the village as if guarding all its inhabitants. The light and sky was spectacular and after the lights had been turned on, we were all invited into the church to sing Carols, meet Santa and drink mulled wine and eat mince pies.
It was such a fun festive evening and I felt proud and privileged to see our nephew switch on the lights and be part of this annual tradition.
The brick wall BG came out well and there's about 4 TH inks painted on it but unfortunately I covered it up with my photos.
I'm so enjoying scrapping again and reliving such wonderful memories.
TFL. Happy day

Oh, the brick wall is perfect for your layout, Jayne. The lamp post is a nice touch, too. Such a sweet little village. Yes, I agree with you, it is fun to relive the memories when we scrap. Great extras on here for a great layout.
