I kept the idea of branches with ornaments hanging from them but made my card more CAS and used only one ornament. My branch is die cut rather than stamped and I used gilding flakes for my ornament.
I sponged (using cut and dry foam) some Cosmic Shimmer glue on my stamp, getting a good even coating, then stamped on my cardstock. I immediately cleaned the stamp with some soapy water and a toothbrush. By the time I'd done that, the glue was tacky enough on the cs for the gilding flakes - added them, pushed them into the glue with my fingers, brushed off the excess, and then burnished with a piece of Tim Holtz Rub-It Scrub-It.
I then die cut the ornament with the corresponding die, and die cut a pine branch out of green shimmer cs. I punched a tiny hole in the top of the ornament and tied it to the branch with copper cord.
On a panel of white cs slightly smaller than the card base, I stamped the sentiment in copper, then glued down the pine branch, and slightly popped up the ornament by rolling up little bits of double sided tape - I didn't want it popped as high as foam tape but did want a bit of dimension.
The tails of the cord are poked through a hole behind the branch and taped to the back of the panel. The panel is popped up on the card base using fun foam.
Congratulations, Monique!
