In medicine, a zebra is a condition thatâs rarely seen, so medical students are told, âwhen you hear hoofbeats think of a horse,â not the much rarer zebra. But twice weâve had a cat with a rare medical problem. Our veterinarian, when discussing options with us after we took Thad to an oncologist, turned to me and said, âYouâve got a zebra.â
I sent this âgratefulâ card to her and her staff for the wonderful care they took of Thaddy cat when he had to have his eye removed. Sorry itâs hard to see the word âgratefulâ at the bottom!
Insides I wrote, âZebras are beautifulâ along with my heartfelt thanks.
P.S. Thad is doing great; likelihood of cancer spreading is quite low.
