Hello and TFL! Here is my version of the SSS shimmer butterfly die, sandwiched and stacked up 4 layers high. there is a 'click for more information' link on SSS to a demo's website that shows this in several 'shimmer' dies they make.
It was a little difficult in cutting all layers just right. the top two layers are cut all the way thru, and this required a shim and many pass throughs on my big shot.
the bottom 2 layers are just scored, basically, but used kraft knife to fully cut the exterior edge enough to get them out of die. YOU WANT TO KEEP THE LITTLE PETAL PIECES INSIDE. I scotchtaped the back of the paper before running thru, so the pieces stayed in!
the background white cs is a product of the FULL cut layer, so good stitch marks and fully cut through. used a scored version die cut to glue inside the relief as a base layer.
then layered 2nd scored die cut, after watercoloring the markers (rubbed markers onto an acrylic block)
third layer was pounced Tombow glue from a sponge onto the full cut out layer and placed on top of watercolored layer
last added 2nd full cut out layer, pounced glue from sponge to adhere to top.
added a few sequins
maybe there are better ways to do this, but the demo didn't have lots of info and I had to figure some out. only made a few so far, maybe not many will happen this way. hahha
enjoy your day, Teresa

So pretty, Teresa. Love that butterfly and colors. I see why Ardyth cased it! Hugz
