I am coming late to last week's Teaparty, but I just had to play because the recipient is near and dear to my heart. My father suffered with Parkinsons for 22 years and I know how this affected my mother's health too.
Anita is our hostess and the theme for the Teapart is, "use only 3" which means we are supposed to use 3 things on our cards. My 3 things are stamping, die cutting and embossing with an embossing folder.
I am going through my bone pile little by little for a few minutes each day sorting it out, and this is how I found all the items to make this card with (except for the card base and I had to stamp the sentiment). What a nice way to make a card and use up bone pile items at the same time.
I am also entering this card into the Alphabet challenge for the letter V for violet.
My heart truly goes out to Dorothy these days. I hope she is feeling all the paper love and hugs that are being sent her way.
Thank you Anita and Ann for these wonderful challenges and thank you for looking today! ~Karen.

Karen, what a gorgeous card you've created from those bone pile castoffs! I love the flower, it's so very pretty! You have the most awesome diecuts, too! So good to see a lovely creation from you in the gallery today! Hugs, my friend!

Beautiful colours...that's one of my top three favourite embossing folders and it looks gorgeous in the rich purple. I always feel that it must be extra special and encouraging for a tea-party honoree to receive cards from someone who's "been there, done that, got the t-shirt", and I'm sure this card from your heart will mean a lot to Dorothy.

What a heartfelt sentiment and beautiful bloom on a pretty scalloped die-cut, Karen. It's hard to see texture on black, but I can see it and the way it adds warmth to this pretty card~

Karen, this is a stunning card in the purple and complimentary rose color. Just love this and I am sure the recipient will too! Great card for V as well! The e.f. looks like such a rich pattern. Just beautiful.
