So, while I was poking about in the stencil girl blog I came across this article that was done by Tammy Tutterow with a spool quilt and bits and bobs of vintage lace and buttons and such on it, like a crazy quilt. and I totally loved this. So, instead of using fabric and really sewing on it, I happened to see these previously used and dried coffee filters and thought ah ha, so the lace mask was used on the coffee filter with DOX inks then diecut with a wonky stitched rect. die. instead of safety pins I used staples for the lace and clustered all the buttons in the corner. I did use different textures of cream papers here and just layered them all up. thanks for this challenge Angie, & tfl.

Fabulous! Oh, what a treasure you created! This is so beautiful! I have never heard of a spool quilt. So creative. I love your pretty buttons and the filter looks amazing.
