I took this week's color combination colors and did some Gelatin prints using the Stazon image transfer technique. Ironically, this transfer was my not super successful (will post the original in the challenge thread) and looked very abstract. The image was an ad for Paloma Picasso's fragrance and if you look at portraits her father did of her, they are very abstract. Anyway....I have had pretty good success using the Stazon transfer technique where you put a layer of Stazon down and let it dry then add a very thin layer of acrylic paint. The magazine page goes down and give a good rub then remove. Then another thin layer of paint (I used the lighter color over the image and the darker red along the edges) and use any texture adding that you wish at this point before pulling the print. I used bubblewrap. During the process, I brayer ed off onto telephone book pages and that's what I punched the hearts from. Because my image was so gaint, I used a lot of pastels and pencil to draw her features back in. It still doesn't look like the original image, but you can tell it's a woman again!! I found a bunch of Paloma quotes about art and added this one with black gel pen.

This is fabulous. I love doing the stazon tranfer. This one is super interesting. I love the abstract nature of it. Awesome job with your lettering the quote. Thanks for sharing and playing along with my challenge. Blessings.

I must try this with StazOn, since I had so many fails the other way that I just gave up trying. I thought you pretty much rocked this technique. Super texture in that print, and I love the little punched hearts.
