I have had a lot of fun working with image transfer techniques on my Gelli plate. This is the Stazon transfer technique where you put a layer of Stazon down and let it dry then add a very thin layer of acrylic paint, I mixed a rose color with some vanilla color for this layer. Then you put your magazine page down and give a good rub. If all goes well, the Stazon will stay and the paint will resist in areas of the image. To pull the print you layer another round of acrylics. For this last layer I used the Rose in the center and the cherry along the edges and used some bubblewrap for texture and ro allow the vanilla/cream cardstock to show through. I will add my original print in my challenge reply, but I lost detail, especially around the mouth and eyes. I used pastels (pink, red, white and black) as well as pencil shading to add detail back in. I Am learning a lot about shading and highlighting by looking at the magazing images.

Oh, my! You've achieved wonderful detail with this joyous image and I like the addition of the dots to echo the spirit in the face. I've done image transfers so I understand the challenges of this technique. I have never used stazon for this, though you are certainly inspiring me to try it. TFS!
