I finally got this set that I've wanted for so long. . I just love the artsy way the flowers are drawn. I think it will be my new go-to because it has so many sizes of flowers and leaves.
Even though I missed the deadline, I wanted to make a card inspired by the Altenew challenge this month. It is an inspiration challenge with this really interesting color combo. The image is of orange berries/buds with purple leaves. https://altenewblog.com/2020/01/01/j...n-challenge-2/ They have bold stripes of color behind the snapshot. I was so drawn to the stripes that I put some behind my image too.
I've been wanting to try partial die-cutting but don't have the dies for this set yet. So, I went for the same effect by stamping the flowers and drawing a light rectangle with the one flower sticking outside. I cut the straight edges with a cutter, then fussy cut the rest. I drew a marker line around the edge of the rectangle.
For the splatters, I mixed orange dye ink with white acrylic paint to get a peachy color and tapped a loaded-up paintbrush to splatter on the card. I need to work on or find a new splattering technique though because somehow the I got a good smattering on my face this time! All good crafting fun!!
