Ways to Use It Challenge Calendar Inspiration hosted by Carla
This is timely challenge here at the end of the month! I had purchase a large calendar for my stamp room; I thought it would be inspirational for card-making. Each month has a different, beautiful, crisp photo of flowers; the page for January is shown in the photo. I have been seeing this gorgeous bouquet of tulips all month long and I keep telling myself to make a tulip card. Here at the end of month, I finally did it. Thanks Carla for the nudge!
The tulips and leaves are two-step stamping. The tulips are stamped in two pinks and the leaves are stamped in first and second generation for the variance. I was inspired by the background in the photo to dab on white acrylic paint on the Smokey Slate card base. Two opposite corners are rounded and I added a few scattered pearls. This was made into a birthday card as a birthday is something you might find written on a calendar.
Terrific challenge! TFL

Beautiful and I love the pink color. Tulips are my favorite flowers. Can't wait to see them come out of the ground. My daffodils are up and budding. Can I say how happy I am????

Must be a gorgeous calendar judging by January's tulip photo. Your card is equally as beautiful with your pink tulips. Your double stamping is so expertly done.......a lovely spring card.

Beautiful calendar inspiration and a beautiful card, Diane! Your tulips are so pretty and a great reminder that before we know it, spring will be here and we'll be seeing the real thing!

You've got a beautiful calendar page and have created a wonderful card with that inspiration. Love how you mimicked the marbled bg with the splotches on the gray and those two step tulips are beautiful. Thanks for playing in my challenge.
