 | | Every year I buy the Jeopardy! page-a-day calendar for my desk at work and a tropical beaches calendar for my wall at home. But this card is based on the calendar that my uncle makes. He makes birdhouses out of recycled things like old teapots and each year he makes calendars with pictures of his favorites. That inspired me to use this Sassy Cheryl digi that I hadn't used yet. I also still needed to get waxy for last week's challenge. I love the crayon rubbed embossing technique, so I grabbed a fun EF and rubbed it with white crayon. I chose Candied Apple ink because my uncle uses a lot of red paint on his birdhouses. He also uses quite a bit of green and white and also gray primer. So that's what inspired my colors. There's a cute bunny on the ground underneath the birdhouse, but I had my heart set on this sentiment and couldn't fit it anywhere else but to cover up the bunny. Sorry, bunny! To finish off the card I die cut some stitched clouds and coated them with Nuvo Dream Drops.
