I have indeed, as she said, tried this before with Sharpies. But any other time, I've had a specific layout in mine (usually sand and sea) and have applied colours in specific areas. This time I went for a totally random application and decided to see where it took me.
Having created my background, I went looking for a suitable stamp to use on it, and remembered this one. I stamped the tree, and then extended the base line and coloured under it with a black Sharpie. Added Liquid Pearls in silver to some of the snowflake detail and on the ground under the tree. Edged it with a silver pen, then messed around with matting and layering. In the end, I used a light purple for the matting layer and a black base. Fun - thanks, Anita. When I have more time (like when I'm not doing overtime and then the housework ran straight into dinner prep) I'd certainly like to try your suggestion of clingwrap for extra texture.

Wow, Sabrina, this is gorgeous! I love your marbled background, and that tree is fabulous!
