 | | I have been absent from splitcoast for a while. This new season of life has shifted my focus and art has taken a bit of a back seat. I did grab my art bag on my babysitting day and put this art journal page together. I started with the gelatin print that used some neutrals and a hexagon stencil. I used my Prismacolor ebony to add some depth. I then raided my envelope of "stuff" and started to collage pieces on. I tore the lighthouse piece and added pencil and smudging instead of color. With the red piece of paper added, I decided to add some red ink to the bg gel print using a petal ink and smudging with my finger. I used a stencil and modeling paste to add FAITH and then wrote my Scripture verse in the ebony pencil going over it a few times. I have really grown to love collage, especially with found pieces of crusty metal bits (I embarrass my kids by picking up trash along walks) |
