I feel like all my business trips happen on Wednesdays because I've done quite a few sketch challenges in hotel rooms. This one is my favorite. I packed my My Sweet Petunia Studio Bag with paper scraps, paper pads, backgrounds, stamped images, pens, washi tape, misc die cuts, colored pencils, ribbons/twines, and foam squares. I also packed a paper trimmer into my suitcase. But I forgot to pack a pencil sharpener or a pin to get my Liquid Pearls flowing. Anyway, I had stamped this cute astronaut, planets, and sentiment at Anne's house, so I grabbed them because I had to make a birthday card for Desmond to give to his friend. I also grabbed some backgrounds that looked spacey but I'm glad that I grabbed this paper pack too. Today's sketch was fun and easy and I was happy to have also grabbed a pre-cut square of black cardstock. I don't really love to color with colored pencils but they travel much better than markers. Although I did have a silver marker for spacesuit details. I also used a silver marker to make stars on the black square as well as a silver gel pen and black Stickles. I love my WeR dial paper trimmer for the deckled edge setting which I used at the top of my sentiment panel. Popped up the astronaut and the sentiment and then added Crystal Glaze to the balloons and helmet and Dream Drops to the planet. Of course the worst part was fussy cutting. I need to figure out how to travel with my ScanNCut. LOL!

I love all the silver stars! I'm so impressed you can make a card like this while away from home - to make what you have on hand come together in a too cute card like yours is amazing!

This is Adorable, and I can't believe you had all the right tools to make this happen (well, almost). Your fussy cutting really looks like your scan n cut, Jen; very well done! Cute stars and cut at the top of your sentiment panel~
