I always seem to end up with distinct blobs where I place my colour initially - I guess this is maybe the third or fourth time I've tried the tutorial (linked in her challenge). This time I used specific paper for acrylics, and still had the same issue. I used blue and gold paints, and at the end added a little more white in here and there. When dry, I stencilled the polka dots with gesso, and some diamonds with glass bead gel, sprinkling some gold Pixie Powder over it while wet.
The leaves are TH Wildflower Stems, cut from a piece of paste paper done on an old map. The pink and red hollyhocks were already cut and saved with the die - I think they're acrylic paint. I wanted the yellow for contrast, so I just added some yellow alcohol inks to glossy photo paper for that one. Added Stickles in the centres of the flowers, and stamped some little bees here and there. Matted on black and added to a white base.

Sabrina, the background that features the paint swiping technique is beautiful. I love the mix of the blue and gold, stenciling, and stamping, especially the small bees. Despite your third or fourth try, I love the affect you achieved, and the floral stems look great against the background. Your "blobs" add to the scene!

Your Card is fabulous with all the swiping of awesome colors! Love the hollyhocks. We had them in our back yard outside of Chicago. Haven’t seen them here or in CA! And I do see your bees which love the flowers!

Oh I love this card Sabrina, there is so much going on and yes I get blobs too. The Hollyhocks are perfect for your background and the little bees are just the icing on the top.

Ooh, this is a beauty, Sabrina. I love it! I can tell your little bees do, too. They are so cute. Super technique.

This does pop from the gallery Sabrina, so beautiful. Love the background. I have looked at that technique and thought about it, but have yet to try it out.
