My sister-in-law requested 9 sympathy cards, so I reckoned that if I made four each of three designs, that would also replenish my own supply. First off the block were four of these, all slightly different.
I used an oval media plate, inking it up with several DOX inks, adding a stencil for some texture, and then using it to stampd the dandelion seed heads onto the card. When dry, I added the agapanthus with Archival black. Trimmed the panels and edges with a black Sharpie. Added the sentiment, stamped on vellum with torn edges, and added to a white base.

Beautiful sympathy cards! I love the backgrounds you've created.

I like the whole setup. Beautiful muted backgrounds with the silhouettes, White and Black framing and the vellum sentiment. Smart to get ahead-I hate making sympathy cards when I am sad already.

How very beautiful, Sabrina. The lighter stamped flowers in the bg with the bold silhouette image over them is stunning. I always like how you use verllum. These are perfect sympathy cards...very peaceful and soothing.
