Rather late to Jacqueline's Year of the Rat Teapot Tuesday challenge - yesterday was my first day upstairs.
I used the Faux Patina tutorial, with a TH embossing folder, and antique linen, tumbled glass, chipped sapphire and forest moss for my inks. Along with the gold EP, that gives me all three of the lucky colours - and there are two leaves on my lily of the valley.
I stamped the rat on watercolour paper, coloured him with Inktense and fussy-cut him. Added a gold edging to the main panel with embossing powder, then a band of washi tape. I added the lily of the valley (SN clear glitter pen on all the bells), and arranged the little rat underneath. I had picked out the Fear not scripture from Isaiah 41 to use, but it was too big so I stuck it on the inside, and instead computer-generated a sentiment for the front. This card will be going to Cheryl.

Fav'd immediately! Love this fantastic creation Sabrina! I'll have to check out that faux patina technique! You certainly nailed this challenge! I don't think that rat is trusting that "Fear Not" sentiment! LOL Awesome!!!

Your faux patina bg looks stunning, Sabrina, great colours in the patina! Love the gold edging, the cute? rat beside the lily of the valley plant and how you have done the sentiment. You have so many of the required elements for the Year of the Rat on this fabulous card!

Neat EF an the gilding here and there adds a real richness to your bg. This little rat looks so demure and not the least repulsive - if a rat COULD be termed cute . . .this would be it!
