This card is for Julies inspiration challenge over on muraledesign.com found here: https://www.muraledesign.com/bright-...er-f297419222/
I wanted inspiration for a birthday card for our daughter-in-law who loves rainbows and all things bright.
I have also done this card for the Technique Lovers Challenge.
I love Jennifer McGuire's generosity and have been along time follower, learning many many things on the way
This card has three of her techniques she uses often but I digress.
To achieve the background I managed to get into a terrible mess, wasn't happy with the first so went again.
When the first background was dry I really liked it so intend to do a CAS card for this weeks challenge, stay tuned lol.
I dabbed colour onto the watercolour paper then removed some of the liquid with paper towel, must have gone through half a roll of paper towel.
The greeting was made by cutting thin strips of SU card stock to correspond to the re-inkers used in the background, diagonally laying them onto a square of Stick It adhesive background by Ken Oliver (bit like Jack paper) then cutting out the greeting. I didn't take the other backing paper off as I wanted to layer the greeting with another cut of the greeting to give it a little dimension and stability.
Once I had sandwiched the two greetings together I pounced Versa Mark Watermark ink all over the greeting and covered it with clear embossing powder.
I was going to use some Melon Mambo as backing for the greeting but it detracted form the greeting, likewise white was too stark so I made some glimmer mist with a couple of drops of Rose Red ink and added some perfect pearls Biscotte.
Then it was just a matter of putting it all together.
Really enjoyed doing this so thank you both Julie and Sabrina for coming up with the challenges and thank you everyone for looking.

Great work matching your stripes to the rainbow background. And the hint of colour you added (and shimmer which I can't see but deduce from the Perfect Pearls) certainly worked to take away the starkness of a plain white panel. I'm glad you had fun with this.
