I actually had another card in mind for my sister's birthday, but when she said that she would quite like a new recipe book for her gift, I thought I'd make a matching card...
Bench fold tutorial is HERE. I made mine a tiny bit taller.
I scored the brick work with the ScorPal. I added a fridge-freezer down one side (DH is still nagging me to add a tiny fridge magnet). I used vellum for the oven window, and little strips of card inside to look like baking sheets. A strip of ribbon made a teatowel underneath the tray with the gingerbread men - all flatback buttons from way, way back. I would have liked to have a jar full of the utensils, but even my smallest mason jar die was too big, and time wasn't on my side, so I just hung them behind the stove-top. To finish off the right side over the drawers, I used a Penny Black sticker for wallpaper, and one quilt block (coloured with pencils) to create a mini hanging.
The main thing I did differently in the construction was that I cut a slit in the back of the card and added a tab onto the piece with the stove-top - so the tab goes through the slit and makes for a more secure finish. I meant to try this last time I made one, but had already cut all my pieces. This time I left an extra margin on that piece so that I could see how the tab worked out.

Sabrina, this is a gorgeous rendition of the bench card. Your detailing is amazing, right down to a tray of fresh-baked goodies and the cute wall hanging. Very creative. Your sister must have loved it!

This is a very cool one. I love that textured mitt-just like a real one!
And the wood look cabinet door and drawers and the stove top and the cookie sheet. The chicken pic cracks me up.
