Sweet treats? This is the first year I did not bake, as I have been having shots in my right hand, again.
DGD Erin, our chef, took over for me making 9 (!) Swedish tea rings, filled with butter, almonds and cinnamon sugar, and glazed. This pic is sorta what a slice looks like. She made one of them for us, which we brought home and ate in under 12 hours!
This card goes to our son Paul, the English teacher who is recovering from hip replacement surgery. Inside it says,
"Synonym rolls. Just like Grammar used to make."

Oh, Anne! What a funny sentiment! Your son will love it! I love cinnamon rolls. I haven't had a really good one in a long time though. The Swedish Tea Rings sound amazing! So glad you could join in the fun today. So sorry about your hand. :(

Oh Anne, no! I'm sorry you need shots again. And you must have missed the baking, I am sure. At least you had a reliable deputy. It's been years since I made a Tea Ring...maybe over the weekend. I used to always make cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning breakfast, but last year I decided it was just too much when we're always out on Christmas Eve till late, so homemade brioche has taken over. Loved your sentiment ;-).

What a cute card! So sorry you are having problems with your hand. I keep putting off hand surgery as the shots didn’t help.
I did bake cookies but it may be the last year...

Oh no, I am so sorry that you are needing shots in your hand. I hope they make it feel better. Love your Synonym roll card. I'm sure Paul will get a hoot from this one. Feel better girlfriend. {hugs}
